A weekend in Malmö...
There's multiple reasons to visit Malmö this summer. Aside from popping by our shop, of course. At this time of year the city is truly showing its best colors and being located just by the sea you're able to combine city life with slow days by the water. So let's daydream a little about what a weekend in the city, and in our neighborhood in particular, could look like...
Arriving at Malmö Centralstation
It's super easy to get the train to the city, both from Copenhagen, Copenhagen Airport and other parts of Sweden. So, you've arrived at Malmö Centralstation. To start off the day, how about breakfast and coffee?
Breakfast
At Noir café, just a few minutes away from our shop, you'll find a lovely outdoors seating in the shade. Aside from coffee you'll find things like ricotta pancakes and grilled croissant on the menu. The croissant is great by the way...
At Ruths breakfast is served from 7 o'clock, and if you're looking to eat a traditional Swedish breakfast you'll be able to do so here. The rye plate with rye bread, salted butter, marmelade and a boiled egg is a real classic. But if you're in the mood for something sweet, their French toast is sure to do the trick.
Lunch
In terms of lunch places, there's many great options in the neighborhood. How about Asian food at Pink Head Noodle Bar just across the street from us? Or, something warming from Spoonery further down the street? You're able to get both as takeaway in case you want to enjoy your food outside in Kungsparken (which is only a minute or two away).
Drinks & Dinner
Go to Bise or Julie for that afterwork drink, a glass of wine, or maybe even dinner too. The evening menu at Ruths and Noir is also wonderful. Oh, and don't forget to check out the deli shop at Ruths if you end up there! Their sourdough bread is delicious.
In case you're looking to go somewhere else after dinner, you'll be sure to find lots of options around Lilla Torg. It's always buzzing with life during warm summer evenings!
Activities
Gamla Väster, the part of town where our store is located, is beautiful and full of small shops, bars and restaurants. Strolling around the neighborhood and checking out the shops around Lilla Torg is a pleasure. Catching a Malmö City bike and riding down to the sea is another good option if you're feeling like a dip in the ocean. If you're unlucky with the weather and are in the need of an indoors activity, Moderna Muséet is not too far away.
And finally, visiting our shop is of course also a must whilst you're around. Only a few minutes away from Malmö Centralstation, and located just around the corner from Bise, it's easy to find your way here. We promise we'll share more gems with you when we see you there!
